Overview
In 2019, SnapAV and Control4 merged, but their separate operations led to confusion among integrators and customers. To resolve this, the company rebranded as Snap One, uniting both brands under a single identity to provide a seamless platform and enhanced loyalty program. The new visual identity combines elements from both brands to reflect professionalism, innovation, and accessibility. This rebranding culminated in Snap One’s IPO on Nasdaq, cementing its position as a trusted leader and clarifying its commitment to simplifying the integrator experience.
Challenges
The primary challenge was managing the merger of two well-established brands while ensuring a cohesive, unified identity. The design needed to reflect both legacy brands while avoiding confusion, creating a visual identity that resonated with both existing and new customers. Additionally, the tight timeline for the rebrand required rapid collaboration across multiple teams, with all design assets needing to be ready for launch in sync with the IPO announcement.
Solutions
As the Art Director, I worked closely with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams to develop a new, unified visual identity. I led the team and the process, ensuring that all elements—from the logo to marketing materials—were consistent and reflected the values of both brands. To meet the deadline, we held design sprints and brainstorming sessions with the entire team, keeping communication fluid and decision-making agile. By leveraging feedback loops and maintaining a strategic balance between creativity and functionality, we successfully delivered the rebrand on time, positioning the company with a clear, unified identity.

UI Patterns and The New Website
Developed UI patterns for SnapOne.com to ensure a consistent, intuitive user experience across the site. These patterns include reusable components, layouts, and navigation elements that streamline the design process and enhance usability.

Templates and Email Guidelines
Developed email and web banner guidelines as well as social media templates in Figma to streamline the design process and ensure consistency across campaigns. These templates improved efficiency, enabling designers to quickly create on-brand content while maintaining design standards and flexibility.

Local Presence and Nasdaq Milestone
The 2021 rebrand transformed Snap One’s physical stores and buildings across the country with updated signage and cohesive interior design to reflect the new brand. This milestone was celebrated with Snap One's debut on the Nasdaq under the ticker "SNPO," solidifying its position as an industry leader.
